No fees, ever. We never charge crew for registering, being put forward or being placed. We never ask you to pay for anything as a condition of a role.
Your Seafarer Employment Agreement (SEA). Before joining a yacht you must receive an SEA and have the chance to read it and seek advice before you sign. Keep a signed copy for your records.
What your SEA should cover. Your position, pay, leave, hours of work and rest, notice periods, repatriation and medical care. Under the MLC you are entitled to at least 10 hours' rest in any 24 hours and 77 hours in any 7 days.
Repatriation. In the circumstances set out in your SEA, you are entitled to be repatriated at no cost to you.
Your employer. Surge Crew does not employ crew. Your employment is between you and the yacht's employer.
